Rodent infestations can be more expensive than you might think. To do it right, the rats or mice will need to be eliminated and the property rat-proofed. Rat Proofing is important because new rats are able to sense pheromones from the previous rats and can be attracted to the same area causing the problem all over again. Bait boxes can be installed outside on a property; however, this is ONLY recommended once all entries to the house have been sealed off. There are few smells worse than a rotting rat in your wall that you can’t get access to!

If your house is sealed against rats, adding bait stations to a regular pest control service is a good way to keep the population of rats down at a reasonable price.
